Introduction

This web site will allow you to search the County of Fresno’s public domain inspection reports conducted on area facilities and view the actual report online. 

What can you view?

You can see any inspection report that is not confidential.  This includes restaurants, hazardous materials, drinking water facilities, milk and dairy facilities, waste disposal, public pools, and housing (such as apartments and residential care).  

Information Bar

Click on the Click to show more…  (see Figure 1) to display additional information regarding the inspection type and program you selected from drop-down box (see Figure 2).  This Information Bar will change based on the inspection type.

Searching

To search for a facility, choose from either the drop-down list or leave blank for all facilities.  Please note, leaving all fields blank will return a very large list to look through.  The most recent reports

Facility Name:       enter the facility name or part of the facility name, such as McDonalds, Unocal, or Island Water Park.  It is not necessary to neither enter the full facility name nor use any wildcards.  The system is not case-sensitive so you can enter the information in lower or upper case.  For example: if you enter ‘MCD’, you will get a list of facilities that start with, end with, or contain ‘MCD’, see Figure

Street Address:    this is the address of the facility.  You do not need to enter the exact or full address.   If you enter ‘W SHAW’, you will be presented with a list of facilities that have an address that start with, end with, or contain ‘W SHAW’, see Figure

City:  choose city from drop-down list.  You can enter the first letter of the city and then scroll through the list.

Zip Code:  type in the zip code or select from the drop-down.

Inspection Type:  this lists the various inspection types available in the Inspection network.  Choose from the drop-down or leave blank for all.

Click on the Search button to run the search to provide you with your choices, see Figure 3. 

Search Result Page

This page will display a list of facilities that match the criteria you entered.  10 documents will list per pane (see Figure 4).  Click on the page numbers below to view another page of results.  Click on the facility name to see the list of documents on file for that facility.

Facility Name:                       lists facility name

Address:                                 address of facility

Phone:                                   phone number of facility

# of Docs on File:                  this is the number of documents the County of Fresno has on file for that facility

v  Please note that you may see other facility names.  This is because a prior business had been at that location. 

Facility Information Page

This page will display a list of documents for the facility you selected, see Figure 5.  Click on the date to display the document.  To view the document, you need to have Adobe Reader installed on your PC.  You can download Adobe Reader by clicking on the link provided.  This will take you to Adobe Acrobat’s web page where you can download the latest Adobe Reader version.

Click on the Map to the Facility link to show a Google map to the location.

Viewing the Document

A toolbar will appear that will allow you to zoom in, zoom out, save the document, or print the document, see Figure 6.

Depending upon your viewer, the document will open in another tab, window, or the same window, see Figure 7.

Inspection Explanations

Click the Inspection Information tab to view information about the reports, where to send comments and information, and inspection terms used on the reports, see Figure 8.
